Sitting down with my coffee, a 3 1/2 inch square tile, a pen, pencil and tortillion, I start with a deep breath. I’m thankful that the puppy is sleeping at the moment and it’s quiet. The day that started so early seems to have taken a pause as she takes her morning nap. Then I wonder if I should open my email to see if there is a tangling prompt today, or check Pinterest or yahoo for ideas. There are just so many options. But today, the idea of encountering so many others’ ideas or thoughts, or even one prompt in an email seems like an invasion into the quiet I have just so recently found. Having a little puppy around will do that to you. So I think I’ll just let my old familiar friends flow from my fingertips … shattuk, tipple and of course, lady aura always comes along for the ride. That’s my grounding, my centering, my affirmation to myself for the day. No one else may ever see this tangled tile and that’s just fine with me. It’s not for showing, it’s for doing and being. And for that I am truly grateful.
